At its Wuppertal location, Wera seamlessly blends tradition and modernity with the new building complex.
With a new building complex on its premises in Wuppertal-Cronenberg, the international tool manufacturer Wera has cre-ated conditions for further growth. The architectural design of the new headquarters is as extraordinary as the product innovations with which the Wuppertal-based company, known in the indus-try as the Tool Rebels, continues to inspire craftsmen, retailers, and industry.
The facade, which is constantly admired by visitors and passers-by, was inspired by Wera's signature Kraftform screwdriver: the curved wave shape of the building's architecture is based on the design of the Kraftform handle. The unusual facade is not only vis-ually striking but also presents a particular construction chal-lenge. Each pane element is individually curved and therefore unique. Today, the glass Wera wave combines old and new parts of the building into a modern administrative location that is geared to-wards the further growth of the tool manufacturer and offers sufficient space for new developments. According to their own state-ments, the Tool Rebels want to continue to live up to their name in the future by constantly questioning the tried and tested and searching for new solutions.
